This is version 1.8 of the Meridianbet Terms and Conditions, effective as of 29.5.2023. All the previous Terms and Conditions are cancelled as of the effective date of entering into force of this version.
1.1 Welcome to Meridianbet Website. This section will provide you a comprehensive list of rules applying to our entire online betting and gaming offer.
You are strongly advised to carefully read these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”). You consent to be bound by the hereby Terms upon opening your user account and processing initial money wagers on your bet selections at any subsection of our products, via our desktop/mobile Website or mobile app, be they permanently or temporarily available.
1.3 Where reference is made in these Terms to “Meridianbet”, “Meridian”, ‘the Company”, “we”, "our" or “us” in relation to complete online product line-up, it refers to Meridian Gaming Ltd, a Limited Liability Company incorporated in Malta (registration number C75631) with its registered office at Lyons Range 20, Office No. 3, Bisazza street, Sliema, Malta. Meridian Gaming Ltd. is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) under licence numbers MGA/B2C/134/2007 issued on August 1st 2018 and MGA/B2B/712/2019 issued on August 2nd 2021. Products regulated by the MGA that Meridianbet offers to its customers are Casino and Fixed odds betting, including live betting.
1.4 Where reference is made in these Terms to "you", "your", “player” or the "customer", such reference relates to any natural person using our Website or any of its services as a Meridianbet registered customer, pursuant to these Terms.
1.5 Each time you place a bet on a specific competition/game on our Website, you also consent to be bound by the Meridianbet Rule Book setting out provisions for the particular competition/game in relation to bet selections, wagering and settlement. It can be found in the “Rule Book” section at the footer of Meridianbet Website.
1.6 Any person over 18 years of age, adhering to and compliant to these Terms and other applicable law and regulations of Malta (subject to conditions and limitations set therein) can participate in our offer. The Terms under which the wagers had been received and processed before entering in force of these Terms remain unchanged.
1.7 Any material changes to the Terms shall be notified to the players in advance, and the player must confirm acceptance before the changes come into effect. The specific parts of any terms and conditions which are added, removed, or changed, shall be specifically highlighted when such acceptance is requested. Players shall not be allowed to play unless they accept the new terms and conditions, but shall be allowed to withdraw their balance.
2. SUBSEQUENT MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
2.1 Subsequent modifications to these Terms may accrue as a result of change in applicable law or for the purpose of enhancing the overall user experience. The up-to-date Terms are always made public on our Website. Each time a material change is introduced, the customer will be communicated on the issue and asked to expressly accept them in order to continue using our Website. To that end, we may approach you in order to obtain consent on changed Terms, by asking you to click “yes” or “I accept” in the check box. Keep in mind that our up-to-date Terms are always available at the “Terms and Conditions” link located at the footer section of the Website.
2.2 In case you find any subsequent change in these Terms of Conditions unacceptable, for further guidance, feel free to approach our Customer Support Department.
3. NON-LIABILITY DISCLAIMERS
3.1 Meridianbet is committed to promoting responsible gaming behaviour of our customers, the full details of which are available in our Responsible Gaming Policy. Without prejudice to this Policy, Meridianbet cannot accept any responsibility or liability that may accrue whenever a player deliberately avoids and circumvents the player protection measures in place, or generally in any case where a player’s interaction and behaviour is outside of Meridianbet control and capacity to timely and efficiently implements applicable procedures. Our Website is designed for entertainment purposes and in case you feel you might have or had already experienced problem gambling, please approach the Responsible Gambling section of our Website for detailed information on advice and practical measures to prevent or minimise problem gambling behaviour.
3.2 Meridianbet shall not be liable if the Website, for some reason, becomes unavailable in a particular time period due to unexpected technical faults, errors or interruptions. The Company either cannot be liable in case of inadequate technical maintenance of your equipment, loss of your digital content or material, internet connection or telecommunication provider malfunction, or inappropriate use of third-party software content causing data transmission delays or interruptions, nor in the case of any liability, damage or loss contingent and accrued as a result of the said technical malfunctions.
3.3 Meridianbet shall not be either contractually, legally or financially liable for any of your potential loss of: private financial revenue, workplace/business, reputation or data (the latter - in case of technical malfunction) as a result of user interaction on our Website.
3.4 Meridianbet shall not be financially liable in cases of obvious (palpable) error and/or erroneously mis-stated odds, in a manner set out by the Section 16 of these Terms.
3.5 Meridianbet, its directors, officers, employees, agents and suppliers will not be subject to any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses to accrue as a result of customer’s inadequate, harmful or fraudulent use of our products.
4. PLAYER ACCOUNT REGISTRATION, VERIFICATION AND SECURITY
4.1 The Company is entitled to, at its sole discretion, decline the customer’s verification at any time and for any reason described in these Terms and Conditions.
4.2 Players are required to register and create their account personally. No person under the age of 18 is allowed to register at Meridianbet Website. In order to make sure each new player is of legal age required, newly-generated customer accounts are verified upon initialising the registration application, as the player provides a copy of one of valid identification documents. Documents being provided to us must be of satisfying quality: they have to be clearly visible and readable, whole pages have to show and letters and/or the picture must not be blurry. Once obtained by the player, the age data inscribed in the document are compared with those entered in the online registration form. Meridianbet reserves the right to keep the account inactive and/or suspend it as long as these data are not delivered in an accurate and complete manner. Where a minor manages to register and use our services, we shall confiscate any winnings made by the said player, as soon as we become aware of the circumstances.
4.3 If the personal data in the obtained document match those entered in the application form, including those indicating the player’s accurate and eligible date of birth (completed 18 years of age), the account becomes active. We are also entitled to repeat this procedure any time subsequent to a successful account activation. Upon ascertaining there are users with false or misleading personal information inscribed on our Website, we reserve the right to exclude them and refuse payout of any potential winnings.
Documents that are accepted as proof of identity are:

Players may be required to provide one of the following additional documents as proof of address:

b) Utility bill for services such as telephone, gas, water, electricity

The documents that prove the address must not be more than six months old when made available to us.
The players are to provide current identification documents and accurate personal details at all times, in order to be able to continue using our services.
4.4 In order to make sure no unlawful or fraudulent activity takes place, Meridianbet may carry out subsequent checks to verify whether the age information provided by the player is trustworthy and accurate. In some situations, we may request customers to send a photograph clearly showing the customer’s face and the image on the identity document being held in the same picture to demonstrate this actually belongs to the customer (selfie verification). If after the account verification, there is evidence indicating a minor, as a result of fraudulent account verification, managed to gain regular access to our Website, such user accounts will be suspended and credited funds cashed back. The same applies in each case we ascertain a customer has more than one account and/or has falsely presented himself, including the right reserved by Meridianbet to report such cases to competent law enforcement authorities, should fraudulent and/or criminal activities evolve.
4.5 Likewise, if we, upon the player account verification process, ascertain and/or reasonable doubts arise the documents used by the player, for the purpose of the account verification or in any subsequent period during the player interaction with us, had been forged/compromised, Meridianbet reserves the right to suspend such user account and refund the deposited amount to the same payment provider from which the funds had been originally deposited.
4.6 By accepting these Terms you also consent that Meridianbet will be entitled to carry out additional verification as required by applicable law and regulations concerning (but not limited to) anti-money laundering laws and general safety of our products. To that end, the Company will be entitled to suspend or restrict your account in a manner deemed appropriate until such regulatory request is closed in a satisfactory manner. When deemed necessary and when a player's account reaches EUR 2.000 in cumulative deposits, players will be required to populate and submit the Customer declaration form containing more detailed information about themselves. A notification will be sent to players advising them to fill in the form within 30 days, during which period the players will not be allowed to affect any withdrawals from their accounts. If following the lapse of thirty (30) days from when Meridianbet has requested the necessary information, the player has not made the requested information available, Meridianbet has the obligation to suspend these accounts. Moreover, in such cases when the account is blocked and the funds are reserved for the player to withdraw in the betshop, Meridianbet will give the customer 30 days to collect the funds, after which the procedure for dormant accounts will be carried out.
4.7 Upon each log-in, you must keep your username and password credentials secret and confidential. It is within the responsibility of players to monitor all bets, money transactions and activities taking place on their account. Meridianbet shall not be liable if there is an unauthorised use of the player’s account when the company itself is not at fault. If at any time you deem or ascertain a third party is aware of your log-in details or you had forgotten them, you should change them as soon as possible either via our Help section or by contacting the Customer Support Department. We also reserve the right to rectify any error upon preparing user account balances and inform the player immediately.
4.8 For various legal or commercial reasons, we do not permit accounts to be opened by, or used from, customers based or domiciled in certain jurisdictions. These are the restricted territories:

4.9 A Meridianbet account is non-transferable. It is prohibited for players to sell, transfer or acquire accounts from or to other players. Funds cannot be transferred between Meridianbet accounts.
5. ACCOUNT CLOSURE, SUSPENSION AND INACTIVE ACCOUNTS
5.1 If you opt to close your user account at Meridianbet, please contact our Customer Support Department at [email protected] for further guidance.
5.2 Meridianbet reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, close or suspend your account and refund you the money deposited at any time and for any reason. Whenever such deposits have been made in bet shops, customers will be allowed 30 days to claim their funds, after which the procedure for dormant accounts will commence. This includes the cases when we ascertain or have reasonable doubts you may use or have used the Website in illegal or fraudulent activity, breached any part of thеsе Terms, have acted in a manner detrimental to the conduct of our business or which may result in legal liability for Customer, Meridianbet or third parties.
Moreover, if at any time the Company becomes aware, or reasonably suspects, that any or all of the information provided by the player is materially false, it shall cancel that player’s registration and refund any deposit remaining in his account, when the account is closed. Meridianbet shall not be obliged to refund any amounts lost, and may not pay out any winnings made.
5.3 In addition to the provisions set out in the previous section, the account can be suspended in case it becomes inactive (dormant). It will be deemed as inactive (dormant) if none of the following actions takes place by the account holder in the consecutive period of 12 months: making deposits, using the bonus, placing a bet, playing casino games, requesting a withdrawal, in spite of the fact player had been notified on the forthcoming inactivity of their account 30 days before the account is due to become inactive.
5.4 Before the account is declared and treated as inactive, Meridianbet will, as stipulated in the section 5.3, notify the account holders on the forthcoming deadline after which their account will remain dormant. Each player will be notified at least 30 days before their account is due to become inactive and reminded of the consequences of this situation (inactivity fee).
5.5 Unless the account is reactivated, the player withdraws the remaining funds or account balance reaches zero on the expiry of 30 days from the notification attempt, these players will be subsequently charged with the inactivity fee of €5 per month (or in equivalent account currency) for the dormant account status. The same rate will continue to be charged with the lapse of each subsequent 30-day-period until the account is reactivated, the player withdraws the remaining funds or the account balance reaches zero (after which the charging of the fee will be stopped). The provisions of this Section do not apply to situations in which a player is self-excluded and at least one month after the lapse of self-exclusion, pursuant to provisions set out by Meridianbet Responsible Gambling Policy.
5.6 In case the Company is unable to reach the player, and after the minimum 5 years had lapsed, we reserve the right to acquire the remaining funds and use them solely and strictly for the responsible gambling purposes.
5.7 The account can be reactivated by the account holder after any login and/or log out on the Website, depositing of money amount to the account, placement of any type of bet on the selection available on the Website or after subsequent participation in any other casino games available (live dealer games, slots, jackpot games, video poker, table games, and any other casino games available).
6. COLLUSION, CHEATING, FRAUD AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY
6.1 The following activities are not allowed and constitute a material breach of the Terms:
We will take all reasonable steps to prevent such activities, detect them and the relevant players, and deal with the relevant players appropriately. We will not be liable for any loss or damage which you or any other player may incur as a result of collusive, fraudulent or otherwise illegal activity, or cheating, and any action we take in respect of the same will be at our sole discretion. In the above listed situations, Meridianbet reserves the right to confiscate any winnings made.
6.2 If you suspect a person is colluding, cheating or undertaking a fraudulent activity, please report it to us by e-mailing: [email protected].
6.3 We reserve the right to inform relevant authorities, other online gaming or gambling operators, other online service providers and banks, credit card companies, electronic payment providers or other financial institutions of your identity and of any suspected unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity, and you agree to cooperate fully with us to investigate any such activity.
7. MONEY DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS
7.1 Money deposits for participation in online betting at Meridianbet are received through our Website. Deposits to the player account are made by transfer of money to the company’s account by way of the payment methods stated on the Deposit tab within the Help page on the website. The company reserves the right to change the accepted methods of payment at its sole discretion. The company does not warrant that all methods of payment are available at all times. Any money deposited with us will be held in designated separate client bank accounts. You may only bet/wager with the amount supported by sufficient funds at the player account. In addition, Meridianbet will conduct identity checks before accepting any deposits at your account. We also reserve the right not to accept money deposited or bets wagered completely or partially at any moment and without providing any further rationale.
7.2 You should only deposit money onto your player account for the purpose of using these funds to place bets/wagers on Meridianbet Website. We shall be entitled to suspend or close your account if there is reasonable doubt you are depositing money value without any intention to participate in our online offer and to report the issue to competent law enforcement and/or AML authorities. The Company also reserves the right to charge a handling fee for any transaction made, to be billed to the respective user during the course of the transaction.
7.3 The issuers of payment cards may charge different money processing fees. You are strongly advised to check with your card issuer for further details. You consent to disclose your basic bank account information, needed by the Company solely for the purposes of transferring money to and from your player account. We will not be liable for any changes to payout amounts as a result of exchange rates.
7.4 As a general principle, all withdrawals are processed via the same payment account/channel from which the deposits were made, and solely on behalf of the registered account holder. Where this is not possible, the company may remit such funds in accordance with any applicable AML legislation.
In case of withdrawal of the entire amount of deposit immediately after the payment, the Company reserves the right to charge administrative costs in the amount of 10% of the deposit amount.
7.5 You hereby consent that Meridianbet reserves the right to charge you for the relevant amounts incurred, if we incur any charge-backs, reversals or other changes in respect of your account.

7.7 Meridianbet reserves the right to carry out additional verification procedures for any payout, in terms of our regulatory obligations.
8. SELF-PROTECTION MECHANISMS
8.1 Meridianbet.com users are able to exclude themselves from further participation in the gaming line-up or make a request by email. Users can exclude themselves from the gaming line-up from one day up to 5 years or indefinitely.
8.2 We would like to inform you that your closure/self-exclusion will only come into effect at the point you receive confirmation from our Customer Support team that your account is now closed/self-excluded.
8.3 Any exclusion implemented shall only be removed upon request of the relevant player or upon expiry of the set duration.
8.4 The duration of a definite period of self-exclusion can be increased or decreased upon request of the relevant player.
8.5 A notice by the player increasing the period of self-exclusion will be effective immediately upon its receipt by the Company, whereas a notice of decreasing it will be effective after at least 24 hours from the day on which Meridianbet receives the notice, and a notice by the player revoking an indefinite period of self-exclusion shall be effective after at least 7 days from the day on which we receive the notice.
8.6 Meridianbet.com shall not be liable for any losses towards either party before the closure takes place or the self-exclusion period comes into effect.
8.7 A player may, in the Account settings:
A player who has set a specific limit as above mentioned may change or revoke the limit in the account settings. Increasing a limit takes effect immediately after Meridianbet has received such a request. In case the player wishes to decrease a definite period of self-exclusion, the change can be effective only after 24 hours have passed since the day the request was received. When a player wants to cancel the indefinite period of self-exclusion, 7 full days have to pass before this can be completed. Meridianbet shall not accept a wager from a player contrary to a limit or exclusion set by themselves as above.
8.8 Meridianbet reserves the right to set further limits on gaming accounts, restrict access to products or close the gaming account.
8.9 Kindly be advised that gambling can be addictive. If a player deems to require help to overcome any such addiction, they should kindly follow this link to the Responsible Gaming page of the Website.
9. PROTECTION OF CUSTOMER FUNDS
9.1 Meridianbet is not a financial institution and no interest is paid on any customer funds, irrespective of the amount held.
9.2 As a Maltese-licenced entity, we have regulatory obligations to safeguard our customers’ funds. To that end, Meridianbet is in control of player funds solely for, on behalf and in the interest of the players. The player’s funds constitute a distinct entity, separate from that belonging to our Company and do not give Meridianbet any right over such funds, which remain in sole ownership of players.
10.2 Meridianbet is a brand of Meridian Gaming Ltd., a gaming operator licensed in Malta. Meridian Gaming Ltd. acts as the data controller, responsible for the collection, processing, and usage of personal data.

10.4 Meridianbet ensures the protection and security of personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws. The company may process personal data based on various legal bases, including consent, contractual obligations, legal obligations, legitimate interests, protection of vital interests, and public interest. The types of personal data collected by Meridianbet include information provided during registration, correspondence, website visits, transaction details, betting history, preferences, and survey responses. Personal data may also be collected from publicly available sources. The collected personal data is used for purposes such as account setup, customer support, compliance with regulations, statistics and analysis, service updates, marketing offers, personalised services, responsible gambling measures, and anti-money laundering activities.

10.6 Data retention periods depend on the user's customer status and legal or regulatory obligations. Meridianbet retains data only as long as necessary and required by anti-money laundering requirements.
10.7 Personal data may be shared with Meridian Tech Ltd., a part of the Meridian Group, and other organisations necessary for fulfilling legal obligations or providing requested products or services. Third-party processors are appointed by Meridianbet and process personal data on its behalf, following its instructions and security measures. In certain circumstances, personal data may be delivered to competent authorities as required by law.
Data transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are made in compliance with legal requirements, such as the necessity for a contract, legal duty, explicit consent, legal claims, or important public interest.
10.8 Users have rights over their personal data, such as the right to withdraw consent, access their data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, and transfer data to another service provider, including the right to file complaints to the relevant supervisory authority.
10.9 To comply with the responsible gambling and social responsibility obligations we will monitor gambling and/or deposit patterns that may indicate concern in respect of responsible gambling. We may use automated decision-making processes to help us to identify such patterns.
11. ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING REQUIREMENTS
11.1 The money deposited must not originate from any criminal activity.
11.2 All transactions made by players are monitored to prevent money laundering and all other illegal activity. All suspicious transactions detected by the Company will be reported to the competent authorities of Malta. Furthermore, in the event of any suspicious transactions, the Company may suspend, block or close the account(s) of the relevant player(s) and withhold funds as may be required by law and/or by the competent Authorities.
12. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES
12.1 At Meridianbet, we make sure that all our players are fully satisfied with our products and service. Nevertheless, we are aware there may be occasions in which we have not been able to meet the expectations of our users.
12.2 To that end, if you wish to express dissatisfaction about our product, customer interaction or transaction, you are kindly asked to approach our Customer Support Department at [email protected] and raise a complaint.
12.3 Upon receipt, we will inform you on the results of feedback within ten days from the day of receipt of your complaint. Should the issue require additional time to be decided upon, Meridianbet reserves the right to extend the deadline by an additional ten days and inform you on that extension.
12.4 If you deem the complaint had not been resolved in a satisfactory manner, you may raise a dispute by addressing the issue to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body.
12.5 For third-party settling of disputes, you may approach European Alternative Dispute Resolution (EADR) as ADR body and adjudication service. The EADR ruling does not affect your rights to continue pursuing the case through other means.
12.6 For disputes falling within the jurisdiction of the Small Claims Tribunal in Malta, both Meridianbet and the player are bound by the decision of the ADR. However, if the ADR complaint falls outside the tribunal's competence, and the customer still seeks a binding decision, they must initiate a claim with the appropriate judicial authority.
12.8 You may also use the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to refer your complaint online. Detailed guidance is available at:
12.9 Should the player feel that the company has not adequately solved their complaint or has failed to reply to their complaint they may escalate the issue directly to the Malta Gaming Authority via email [email protected].
13. PROMO OFFERS AND CAMPAIGNS
13.1 All Meridianbet promo offers and campaigns are subject to their own special terms and conditions, made available to customers via the Website in a timely and transparent manner. They are limited to one per person (customer ID) and their email address/telephone number/payment account number. Meridianbet reserves the right to limit/withdraw the availability/duration of any/all offers to any customer or group of customers at any time, at our sole and absolute discretion. Promo offers and campaigns only relate to customers who have a real money deposit with Meridianbet and may be amended at any time.
13.2 In any situation where a promo term is partially or completely breached and/or there is evidence of a series of bets/wagers placed by a customer or group of them which, due to some feature of promo offer, may result in guaranteed customer profits irrespective of the outcome (bonus abusers), Meridianbet reserves the right to reclaim the bonus/promo offer, settle bets/wagers at regular odds, voids any bet and levy an administration charge up to the value of the deposit bonus. We also reserve the right to ask any customer to provide sufficient documentation before handing any bonus to the customer’s account.
13.3 For the avoidance of doubt, the bonus money is displayed separately in the player's balance (Bonus Player Account) and cannot be exchanged for the real account balance. The winnings to arise from the bonus account funds will be equal to the total return minus the bonus amount initially deposited, and this difference will be transferred to the player’s regular account.
14. PROCEDURES FOR PLACEMENT AND SETTLEMENT OF BETS, PAYOUT OF WINNINGS
14.1 For the purpose of these Terms, it will be deemed as bet any investment of money (made by the player) and collection of stakes (processed by Meridianbet) to predict the outcome of an uncertain event offered by Meridianbet, subject always to the limitations set up by the applicable law, bylaws, and regulatory guidelines.
14.2 It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details of their bets/wagers are correct as once wagered, they may not be cancelled. Meridianbet reserves the right to suspend, interrupt or cancel any bet/wager at any time should any unpredictable circumstances arise that could not be avoided, removed or influenced by Meridianbet. We reserve the right to decline/cancel/terminate, completely or partially, any bet/wager/event/competition, at our sole discretion, as well as to remove any match from the offer line-up. Be advised that all the bets/wagers are placed at the risk of the players themselves.
14.3 We reserve the right to change the odds (price) for any event/game and bet selection at any moment. Odds under which the bet had been accepted, processed and wagered on are valid and binding for both the customer and Meridianbet, subject to other limitations set out by these Terms, Rule Book and applicable law and regulation.
14.4 We only accept bets/wagers made via our Website, mobile device or downloadable mobile apps. In addition, your bet/wager becomes valid for settlement and payout only after it has been successfully processed by our servers and awarded a unique transaction code. We reserve the right to void any bet wagered subsequent to the commencement of the subject event as indicated in the offer list, safe in case of Live Betting. Where Meridianbet reasonably believes a bet had been placed after the outcome of an event is known, or after the selected participant or team has gained a material advantage (e.g. a score, sending off for the other team etc), we reserve the right to void such bet.
14.5 All the bets wagered at Meridianbet are subject to general and special provisions on minimum and maximum amount of pay-in (stake) and payout (winnings), as well as on minimum numbers of matches/games per bet selection. Meridianbet reserves the right to announce and change these provisions before each wager being made, for any event, competition and participant in particular. If there is a mix featuring Events with multiple different limitations on maximum stake, then the amount of the maximum stake in this mix will be determined as minimum value. The amount of maximum payout for the Customer per combination is set by the league, sport or competition limit. In addition, any violation in terms of minimum number of matches/games per bet selections entitles Meridianbet to void such bet selection.
14.6 Meridianbet reserves the right to change any of these limitations, at any moment, for competitions and individual participants in betting, as well as to suspend, cancel and terminate wagering of bets on a particular selection/competition/game at any time, at our sole discretion without further notice. Maximum payout per bet slip is 12.000 EUR for all the tickets containing Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, Primera, Ligue 1, Champions League and Europa League.
14.7 Live Betting: Type of betting where customers wager on the outcome of Sports Events already underway, under the conditions set out by the Rule Book. Schedule of fixtures within Live Betting are susceptible to change in broadcasting schedule. Should the sports event the bets on which were received via live betting offer is interrupted: a) for the matches postponed or abandoned that are not subsequently continued or rearranged to take place within the same day, all bets will be void, b) all bets for an event rescheduled to take place within the same day will stand, c) all the bets made for an anticipated outcome which materialised at the sports court will be settled as winning (for example - bets on over 2.5 goals in a football match interrupted during the result 2:1), whereas d) all the bets made to the anticipated outcome which did not materialise at the sports court up to the moment the match became interrupted will be void (odds 1).
14.8 Empty Bet: A form of betting where a customer comes up with an event and/or betselection not in Meridianbet regular or live betting offer, suggests particular bet selection and is offered the price (Odds) for it, provided that Meridianbet ascertains the proposed bet is clear, intelligible and its outcome can be measured via credible information source before accepting wager for it.
14.9 Ante-Post Betting: A "long-term” wager on the outcome of a season, or a team’s/player’s overall performance in an entire season, or on a special event that will take place in the future. These bets will be accepted on an “all-in” method, meaning that, should your selection/player fail to take part/appear in an event, the bet is lost, unless specifically stated otherwise by Meridianbet, subject to the general provisions set out by applicable law, regulations, these Terms and Rule Book. If a team with ante-post bet wagered on is disqualified from the competition, such bets will be void. If this happens before the start of the season, the complete market will be void and a new one re-introduced. Administrative point deductions as well as the play-offs phase will count.
14.10 Abandoned/Delayed/Postponed Matches: All standard bets on a sports event that is abandoned or postponed to take place later than 48 hours after the moment of initial kick-off time, will be void. However, any sports event rescheduled and/or delayed within the following 48 hours will stand.
14.11 The “payout” is the total profit of a customer as a result of betting, including the stake. This calculation is available on Meridianbet Website upon making a bet and it will be calculated by multiplying the stake and the odds accepted. In multiple selections with a void bet, the 'payout' figure will be reduced accordingly, and the selection settled on the total odds of the remaining selections.
14.12 The information on the kick-off date/time and the result of the event as posted in our offer/results section is only to be considered as provisional. Final conditions under which penal bet will be wagered and settled will be determined according to the official data in the Official Information Sources of the match/competition wagered on. The official outcome of the Event is the outcome achieved on the sports court/scoreboard in the regular course of the match/game, and published in the Official Information Sources.
14.13 It will be deemed as Official Information Sources: 1) official website of the tournament/match organiser, 2) official website of the venue host, 3) official website of the home team and 4) official website of the away team. Should different information on the final result of the match/game arise, the official information is the result from the source ranked higher of these four sources.
14.14 For Sports Events, overtime and penalties are not deemed as regular course of the game (safe if specifically indicated in the initial Offer/Bet Selection). In addition, subsequent administrative modifications to the result of a Sports Event (for example disqualification) do not alter the final official result used for settlement of bets, safe if Meridianbet specifically indicates otherwise.
14.15 You cannot place bets for the same match in one combination several times (unless explicitly stated by Meridianbet in particular case), or otherwise such bets will be void and stakes refunded. It will be deemed as repeated the combination in which at least three events on a betting slip do not differ.
14.16 A winning bet/selection is the one in which there are no missed picks and/or other specific provisions set out by the Rule Book are met. Winnings from resulted bets are added to your regular account balance and, once you opt to withdraw funds, processed as a transaction to your bank account as specified upon money deposit. Any funds credited to your account by error entitle Meridianbet to cancel any such transaction and withdraw the subject amount from your account.
14.17 All the winning bets will be settled at the prices indicated by Meridianbet and accepted by the player at the time of processing of wager, safe in cases of obvious (palpable) error and/or erroneously mis-stated odds, as set out by the Section 16.
14.18 In case of the disputed integrity of the match, match manipulation, and/or evidence of a series of bets containing the same or similar selection(s) placed by/on behalf of the same individual or group of customers for the purpose of circumventing the limitations set out by these Terms (associated betting), Meridianbet is entitled to withhold payment and/or to declare bets on such event void. Evidence for qualifying any occurrence as one of the scenarios described above will be based on some/all elements of the following: bet patterns, frequency, volume and the existence of syndicate (associated) betting and/or irregular betting, breach of applicable national and/or international rules regulating the match integrity. In addition, a decision given by the relevant sport governing body on the issue is to be conclusive for settlement and voidance of such bets, regardless of the evidence collected by Meridianbet.
15. TURBO CASH
15.1 The Meridianbet Turbo Cash feature provides you with the possibility to take a return from your wagered bet(s) before an event has finished, during the life cycle of the bet. Such pay-out requests will then be priced according to the actual market value (odds) of the subject bet(s) offered at the moment of the Turbo Cash request initialization.
15.2 The Meridianbet Turbo Cash feature is available on selected events, fixtures and markets both standard bet (pre-match) and live bet (In-Play), both on single and multiple bets.
15.3 When initiating the Turbo Cash, there will be a time delay occurring before the Turbo Cash request is accepted. However, should a price (odds) change or a market is suspended during that inter-period, the Turbo Cash request may be rejected.
15.4 Before processed and settled, each Turbo Cash transaction requires your previous and explicit request. If the Turbo Cash request is successfully processed, this will be displayed and the bet is immediately settled. To that end, the actual final result of the original bet will no longer have any impact on the amount of money paid out via the Turbo Cash feature.
15.5 Due to very high volatility in the value of bet prices (odds) subject of the Turbo Cash offer, you can opt for one of the three modalities: a) to automatically accept any changes in values up to 10% of the odds range, b) to only accept the values higher of those initially offered and c) to accept any changes in values.
15.6 The Turbo Cash amount offered at any time stands for the total amount to be returned to your user account at Meridianbet, priced at the fair market value of the bet selection at the moment of initialization of Turbo Cash request, provided that the Turbo Cash request is mandatorily initiated and accepted on your behalf, and the transaction successfully processed, in the manner stipulated in the §5 of these Terms.
15.7 Meridianbet cannot guarantee that the Cash Out feature will be available on each of your bet selections. Turbo Cash option will not be available when a market is suspended. Meridianbet will not be held liable and responsible in case the Turbo Cash feature is not available due to technical failures, interruptions or omissions, whereas in that case the bets will stand as originally placed.
15.8 Meridianbet reserves the right to partially or completely, at any time, amend, suspend or remove the applicability of the Turbo Cash feature for any event, fixture, market or customer. Any bets placed on such events, fixtures or markets will stand as originally placed.
15.9 Meridianbet reserves the right to remove all or part of the Cash Out feature for any customer or group of customers where it has reasonable grounds to believe that the customer or group of customers is misusing Cash Out by frequently using the feature to take advantage of pre-event price movements and closing their bets through the Cash Out feature before the event has started.
15.10 Meridianbet reserves the right to reverse the settlement of a Turbo Cash bet(s) if such bet(s)/ market are settled in error.
16. OBVIOUS ERROR
16.1 Meridianbet will not be financially liable for any errors in respect of pricing of bets or wagers, including situations of an Obvious Error in subject odds/point spreads/handicaps/point totals/Cash Out amount (or other pricing values displayed on our Website), in respect of cases in which bets get accepted during closed or suspended markets, in respect of cases of incorrectly calculated and/or paid out settlement amount, or in respect of any error to occur in a random number generator /payout table included in games on our Website. In any of these instances, we are entitled to void any of these erroneous bets and transactions.
16.2 Prior to the start of an event, during Live Betting or after the event, in case Obvious Error is identified with relation to any of the bet markets/selections described in Section 11.1, bets will stand but however re-settled at the revised price (corresponding to the actual market value at the moment an Obvious Error occurred), safe in case a disputed bet had been placed on an event where the outcome is already known at the moment of wagering, in which case it will be void.
16.3 Where, however, there is sufficient time before the start of an event for which an Obvious Error in wagering/betting/pricing had occurred, Meridianbet may contact the customer and introduce them with the possibility of cancelling the subject bet(s).
16.4 Incorrect Fixture - Where an incorrect player or team is quoted within a fixture all bets will be void at Meridianbet sole discretion.
16.5 Incorrect Market - If an incorrect market is quoted for any match or event, bets placed on that market will be void, at Meridianbet sole discretion.
16.6 Late Bets - If for any reason a pre-event bet is inadvertently accepted after a match or event has commenced, such bet will be settled as void. Any bet placed where the outcome is already known, including In-Play, will be void.
17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
17.1 The contents of Meridianbet desktop and mobile Website, as well as Android/iPhone mobile are protected by international copyright laws and other intellectual property rights. All product/company names and logos mentioned in Meridianbet products and offer verticals are the trademarks, service marks or trading names of their respective owners, including Meridianbet. Any commercial use or exploitation of the Website or its content is strictly prohibited. Your use of the software is of personal and non-commercial nature and does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the software.
17.2 Except and solely for the purpose required to wager bets, no part of Meridianbet Website may be reproduced or stored, modified, copied, republished, transmitted or distributed, by any means or in any manner, or included in any other Website or in any public or private electronic system or service without our express prior written consent.
18. MISCELLANEOUS AND OTHER PROVISIONS
18.2 In the event of any inconsistency between the main body of these Terms and other mentioned Policies posted and available on Meridianbet Website, unless stated otherwise, the main body text shall prevail.
18.3 The terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malta.
18.4 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such decision shall not affect the other provisions of these Terms, which will remain in full force and effect.
18.5 The courts of Malta shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of the Terms themselves.
